When we first started this clothing line, people would look at the letters I.C.O.N. with the letter O with it’s cross in the middle and wonder what it meant. The first 30 days that I started wearing my shirts after they were created at least eight people got up the nerve to come up to me and ask what the acronym stood for. I thought this was incredible since no one had ever taken such interest in wanting to know what I wore before. When I told them it meant idolize or imitate Christ of Nazareth and that Jesus was the first living icon, people were surprised to know that icons were not just symbols on computers or Hollywood celebrities.

Being iconic is more than a clothing line or celebrity. It is a way of life that produces unlimited love, peace, happiness and joy when we pattern our lives after the life of Christ. We want to show people through our designs and symbolism that Jesus was the first true icon and the secret to living an iconic life is to idolize and imitate Jesus Christ. Part of our mission is to be like the icons in many churches and direct people to idolize and imitate Christ of Nazareth through the message in our Christianwear.

We purposely are striving for designs that are very stylish, cool and upscale. We feel that most Christian apparel puts people in a box that just expresses the religious side of who they are. I.C.O.N. chooses to break from these traditions because we know that buyers for retail stores and consumers want good Christian clothing that is unique, true to the word of God and eclectic. We know that in this world sometimes you have to choose between the materialistic and spiritual. We hope here at I.C.O.N. you find the combination of both and won’t have to sacrifice style.
